Zahar Al Mandi was born from a deep passion for authentic Yemeni cuisine and a vision to share its rich, aromatic flavors with the people of South Kerala. Our founder, inspired by the legendary mandi traditions of Yemen, spent years perfecting the art of slow-cooking meats in underground tandoors.
The name “Zahar” means “flower” in Arabic — a symbol of beauty, fragrance, and the blossoming of something extraordinary. Just as a flower blooms with care and patience, our mandi is crafted with hours of slow cooking, allowing every spice and flavor to fully develop.
Today, with 5+ outlets across South Kerala and a joint venture with Malabar Qissa, we continue to grow — always staying true to our roots and our commitment to authentic Arabian cuisine.

MILESTONES
The Beginning
Zahar Al Mandi opens its first outlet in Alamcode, Attingal, bringing authentic Yemeni mandi to South Kerala for the first time.
Growing Roots
Despite the pandemic, our loyal customers kept us going. We expanded our delivery services and perfected our recipes.
Venjaramoodu Opens
Our second outlet opens on M C Road SH-1, Venjaramoodu, bringing the taste of Arabia to more families across Trivandrum.
Kollam Expansion
We expand to Ayoor and Kottarakkara in Kollam district, winning the Golden Bite Award for Best Arabian Cuisine.
Kundara & Awards
Our fifth outlet opens in Kundara. We win our second Golden Bite Award and cross 1,000 Google reviews with a 4.3★ rating.
Malabar Qissa JV
We announce a joint venture with Malabar Qissa in Kulathur, Trivandrum, expanding our culinary footprint further.
